NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH
This is a communication network covering the whole village aiming at fostering good neighbourliness and crime prevention. Each household has a near neighbour who is the Contact Person for a small group of adjacent houses. The Contact Person will introduce her/himself to newcomers.

VILLAGE HALL
The Village Hall Management Committee holds regular meetings to which representatives of all village organisations using the hall are invited. The committee is always delighted to hear from residents who wish to help with fund raising for the hall or who wish to become a member of the committee as an elected village resident.

POSTAL COLLECTIONS
The box by the red telephone kiosk at the mini roundabout: at 1130 and 1600 Monday to Friday, at 1130 on Saturdays, and at 1100 on Sundays.
The box in Sowters Lane: at 0930 and 1600 Monday to Friday only.

REFUSE COLLECTION
The wheelie bins are emptied one Tuesday. (The rubbish must be in bags inside the bin otherwise it will not be taken away). The recycling waste is collected on alternate weeks - green bags for paper, plastic bottles and tins only, red bags for cardboard and the green box for glass bottles and jars and clothing and shoes (put inside another bag).

WASTE RECYCLING
Recycle bins for glass bottles and jars, newspapers, magazines, books, cardboard, clothing and shoes are in the Greyhound Inn car park. The nearest community tip is in Loughborough (left turn at traffic lights at end of the bridge at the railway station).
